Although the pollen is driving all of us nuts right now (everyone in my household has the sniffles), there is still an upside: the beautiful blossoms we get to enjoy. This is the Dogwood that is in front of our house. I absolutely love it. Once a year we get beautiful pink blossoms. It doesn't last very long and it does bring with it tons of honey bees, but the beauty is worth all of it. These are my favorite types of trees.
There's another type of Dogwood: the Japanese Dogwood. This one has white blossoms during spring and then big red berries that hang like ornaments from summer through winter. They are gorgeous.
