Jaden's 4th Birthday

It was a day of "big girl" things. She had asked Poppop to make her a chocolate cake for her birthday, so we decided on a lunch party at Nonni and Poppop's. Our first "big girl" task was putting on our seatbelt all by ourselves. Check. Then while we were waiting for our pizzas we went to the nail salon next door. Jaden picked out a nice sparkling pink nail polish and had her nails painted. We also picked out some Cinderella chap stick. We had a lot of fun at lunch and Jaden was ready to open presents. But she wasn't too happy that we were going to eat cake first. But she quickly got over that.

We made Jaden close her eyes while Nonni put her cake in front of her. Okay, open your eyes...

Time for presents. And opening them is a serious business.

Poppop got Jaden a racetrack to run these nice-sized cars to run on. You shake them and then they go. Nonni found a pink car racing car. Mommy and Daddy thought of a karoake machine because Jaden is always singing around the house. Nonni found a great one made by Fisher Price called a "Star Station". It has a camera on the front so that you can see yourself on the TV. Jaden was more interested in dancing and watching herself than actually singing into the microphone. But none the less, she absolutely loves it.
